A fantastic look at getting the balance between usability and design.

Blog on the Mod

I spent this weekend surrounded by PC bits, as I pulled apart my old machine and upgraded it. At last I got to use my Beantech case that I bought about 6 months ago. I am very happy with it (Igloo 2) and it now has some nice UV lights in there and a rather cool purple Coolermaster fan. Unfortunately the ASUS motherboard is not nearly as pretty as my fire-engine red MSI one.
It seems to me that Beantech cases have often been overlooked in favour for the more popular LianLi or CoolerMaster, but my case was cheaper than those options and at least if not more attractive. Although it can't claim to be the most original design it has some really nice features.; e.g. You can unclip the connectors for the Power and HDD leds and attatch them to the motherboard whilst it's on it's pull out tray, rather than struggling once the tray is back in play. The antivibration is working nicely and I have a very quiet PC now, which is a huge improvement on the Boeing 747 engine of a PC I used to have.

Just need to buy some more UV stuff and I'll be happy.
